Detailed introduction to furniture locks
Locks refer to seals added to doors, boxes, drawers and other objects, which can only be opened with a special key. With the development of technology, the existence and use of locks have changed a lot. The following introduces two common locks used in furniture: drawer locks and cabinet door locks.
Classification of drawer locks
Drawer locks are classified according to the lock classification standards issued by the Ministry of Light Industry, product shape, structural performance, product specifications, series, etc. There are two ways to express them. Drawer locks can be divided into two categories according to different structures: pin locks and blade locks. According to different lock tongues, they can be divided into square tongues, oblique tongues, and crab claws.
Drawer lock
Independent drawer lock: The lock acts alone, one lock locks one space, which is the most common locking form on the market. The lock is divided into square tongue lock and oblique tongue lock according to the shape of the lock tongue. As shown below
Interlocking system
In multi-drawer cabinets, an interlocking system is often used, also known as a central locking system. It uses multiple brake pins on the guide rail to lock each drawer separately, and only uses one lock to lock multiple drawers at a time. There are two installation forms of the interlocking system. One is that the lock is on the front of the drawer and the guide rail is installed on the side panel, that is, the front lock; the other is that the lock and the guide rail are installed on the side panel at the same time, that is, the side lock. As shown in the figure below:
