The development of hardware locks needs to improve product quality and be market-oriented
In recent years, with the vigorous development of my country's hardware market, the lock market has also taken advantage of the situation. The overall capacity of the lock market has now reached 70 billion, and Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shanghai and Shandong are the main concentrations of lock manufacturers.
The lock market is gradually showing its characteristics. The characteristics referred to here are the development model of industrial clusters. There are many lock-making enterprises in the cluster and the comprehensive output of the enterprises is large. The cluster lock market has a strong growth momentum, high sales, high export growth rate, and the import rate is also increasing. The international market share of the high-end market of the lock industry is also increasing.
After decades of development since the reform and opening up, China's lock industry, a traditional and emerging industry, has accelerated its evolution towards modern manufacturing. According to incomplete statistics, by the end of 2012, my country's lock industry had formed an annual output value of 60 billion yuan, and my country is already the world's first lock-making country.
From the perspective of development quality, the hardware industry, including the lock industry, still has obvious gaps in product quality, R&D and design capabilities, independent brands and marketing channel construction, total factor productivity and international competitiveness. Chinese lock companies should continuously enhance their independent innovation capabilities, high-end manufacturing capabilities, marketing capabilities and brand influence, and promote China's transformation from a major lock manufacturing country to a manufacturing power.
At present, the annual sales volume of locks in the country can reach 2.2 billion, and the annual commercial market demand for fingerprint locks alone can reach 5 million sets, such as for corporate finance, military police stations, office life, etc. At the same time, the demand in the civilian market is also growing. Whether it is a traditional mechanical lock or a modern electronic lock, or even the access control locks in high-rise buildings, the Chinese lock industry as a whole is developing irresistibly.
